Embark on a journey with me, inspired by the profound impact of witnessing my elder brother’s hands-on education in the medical field, seamlessly intertwining classroom learning with real-life applications at the hospital. It sparked a realization of the inherent beauty in learning by doing, a philosophy that is often overshadowed in various educational domains.
Consider the contrast: in medical education, practically applying knowledge is not just a component but the very essence, fostering a 100% practical approach. This stark difference prompts a crucial question: Why isn’t this level of practicality prevalent across all educational streams? How can we elevate the practical education quotient universally?
I pondered upon the absence of dedicated Research and Development divisions for practical education in educational institutions. Shouldn’t universities, colleges, and schools have robust frameworks to enhance the practical learning experience? Could our industries be more actively involved, fostering accountability and proximity to educational institutes?
Reflecting on my own experiences, I recognized the deprivation some children face due to a lack of practical resources. The allure of medical education and its emphasis on hands-on learning served as a guiding light. My inspiration draws from visionaries like Sonam Wangchuk, Maria Montessori, the Waldorf model, Sweden’s Skill Education system, and cinematic gems like “Three Idiots” and “Taare Zameen Par.” Terms such as Experiential Learning, Hands-on Education, Industry Visits, Labs, STEM, and DIY became my guiding principles.
Motivated by a desire to make a tangible difference, I founded the Active Discovery Campus. Comprising Active Farm School, Active Industry, and Active STEM, we cater to learners from kindergarten to postgraduate levels, offering practical education solutions that evolve with each passing day.
I invite you to join us on this transformative journey, where education transcends traditional boundaries, embracing the power of experiential learning. Your well-wishes are not just appreciated but integral to our mission.
With gratitude,
