🌻 Little Farmers, Big Adventures! Exlpore the KG Farm Basic Workshop at Active Discovery Campus

We are thrilled to share the joy and discovery from our KG Farm Basic Workshop, where the magic of the farm came alive for our youngest learners! This program is specially designed to ignite curiosity, foster empathy, and provide hands-on fun for Kindergarten students.

Join us on a journey through a day of giggles, learning, and unforgettable farm memories!

🐾 Section 1: Furry Friends & Gentle Hands

Kindness & Cuddles: Feeding Our Farm Animals!

The absolute highlight for many of our little farmers was getting up close and personal with our friendly domestic animals! Guided by our caring instructors, the children learned how to gently feed and pet the animals, understanding the importance of kindness and care for living creatures. Their faces lit up with pure delight!

👻 Section 2: Crafting Creativity: Our Spooky Scarecrows!

Headline: Creative Critters: Building Our Own Scary Crows!

Next up, it was time to get creative and a little bit silly! The children had a blast making their very own “Scary Crows” (friendly versions, of course!). This activity sparked their imagination, encouraged fine motor skills, and taught them about the important role scarecrows play in protecting our crops. Look at these masterpieces!

  • Caption Idea: “From imagination to the farm field! Our little artists proudly crafting their unique ‘Scary Crows.’ Who knew protecting crops could be so much fun? 🎨 #KidsCrafts #FarmFun”

🌱 Section 4: Nurturing Nature & Building Big Ideas!

Headline: Little Hands, Growing Green & Lego Fun!

Our budding farmers even had the chance to participate in essential farm tasks: learning about how water and manure help our crops grow strong and healthy. They got their hands a little dirty (the best kind of dirty!) and understood the cycle of nature.

And to top off an amazing day, imaginations soared with Lego Building Blocks! This encouraged problem-solving, teamwork, and creative expression, consolidating their learning in a playful way.

“From nurturing plants to building incredible structures! Our workshop combines vital lessons about nature with creative play, ensuring a well-rounded and engaging experience. 🌱🧱 #HandsOnLearning #EarlyEd”

Case Study: Farm-to-Fork Nutrition Workshop at Active Discovery Campus

Overview

Learners from Methodist Engineering recently traded their textbooks for garden tools and culinary kits during an immersive Nutrition Practices Workshop at the Active Discovery Campus. This program was designed to bridge the gap between nature and nutrition, showing students how to fuel their bodies using fresh, natural ingredients.

The Experience: From Farm to Plate

The workshop wasn’t just about theory; it was about action. The students engaged in a multi-step journey:

  1. Foraging at the Farm: Students explored the Active Discovery Campus farm to identify and harvest various edible leaves and nuts.
  2. Natural Preparation: Using their fresh harvest, students prepared a vibrant array of functional foods and beverages, including:
    • Therapeutic Teas: Red Tea and Blue Tea.
    • Hydration: Infused Detox Water (featuring cucumber and basil seeds).
    • Nutritious Meals: Rainbow Salad, Puri Salad, and traditional Kanji.
  3. Enhancing Flavor Naturally: In place of processed sugars or artificial additives, learners used:

Case Study 4: The 2 Days Entrepreneurship Workshop

Case Study: From Concept to Commerce – The Entrepreneurship Journey at Active Discovery Campus

Introduction

In a dynamic two-day intensive workshop, learners from the Livelyhood Foundation & Stanley Engineering College transitioned from students to entrepreneurs at the Active Discovery Campus. This program was designed to instill a “founder’s mindset,” blending design thinking with the grit of real-world sales.

Day 1: The Blueprint for Success

The first day focused on the “Why” and “How” of business. Learners engaged in a series of strategic activities:

  • Creative Inspiration: Analyzing Shark Tank episodes to understand pitch mechanics and value propositions.
  • The Triple Threat: A deep dive into the intersection of Passion, Purpose, and Profit to ensure sustainable business ideas.
  • Business Design Thinking: Developing comprehensive business plans using design thinking principles to solve consumer problems.

Day 2: Production & The Marketplace

Theory met reality on Day 2 as learners entered the production phase.

  • Manufacturing: Learners took hands-on control of the Product Life Cycle, manufacturing two distinct items: Handmade Soaps and Flip-Flops.
  • End-to-End Ownership: Beyond just making the products, the teams managed the branding, specialized packaging, and inventory readiness.
  • The Field Challenge: To understand market diversity, learners traveled to both a rural village and the urban town of Vikarabad. This provided a rare opportunity to test pricing strategies and sales pitches across different demographic segments.

The Reflection: Pitching the Experience

The workshop concluded with a formal presentation session. Learners analyzed their sales data, discussed the challenges of “cold selling” in the streets, and shared insights on consumer behavior.

“Understanding the product life cycle—from the first drop of soap in the mold to the final sale in Vikarabad—was the best experience. It made business feel real, not just theoretical.” — Livelyhood Foundation Learner
